South Africa only

This website’s account and request facilities are offered to adults aged 18 or older who are in the Republic of South Africa and request fulfilment in South Africa. No international shipping, export, cross-border incubation or overseas subscription service is offered. Declaring that you are in South Africa is required; we do not use invasive location tracking to verify it. If you are outside South Africa, do not register or submit requests.

South African law and disputes

These website and service terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that disputes may be brought before South African courts with jurisdiction. This governing-law provision also applies, to the extent legally enforceable, if you access the website from outside South Africa. It does not expand our service area.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer or privacy protections, overrides the jurisdiction of a regulator or court where the law requires it, or asks you to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived. We cannot promise that no other country’s mandatory laws will apply simply because a visitor accepts South African terms.

Requests and confirmation

Catalogue information describes planned or available farm products. An enquiry or basket submission is a request, not an accepted sale, incubator booking or active subscription. We confirm stock, quantities, final prices, all delivery or other charges, timing and any service-specific terms with you before an agreement is made. A Coming soon listing is not available to buy. Prices are in South African rand; the confirmed quote must clearly state the full amount payable and any applicable tax treatment.

Review and correct your answers before submission. You can go back to edit them. If you discover a mistake afterwards, contact us with the request reference before fulfilment. No payment is collected by the website; payment is arranged directly after agreement.

Vegetable boxes and farm products

Box contents follow seasonal availability. Photos illustrate examples and do not guarantee an exact packing list. We will confirm material substitutions, quantities and any bread, eggs or pantry extras before you agree to the order. For future pantry products, ingredients, allergens, storage and other required product information must be provided before sale.

A box enquiry does not authorise recurring charges. Frequency, price, delivery arrangements, changes, pauses and cancellation terms must be agreed before a subscription becomes active. Pausing or cancelling a subscription request through your account does not itself cancel a separately confirmed order. Any cancellation charge must be lawful and disclosed; mandatory cancellation rights remain available.

Chicks and incubation

Confirm the chick age, breed, sex if known, collection arrangements and price for the relevant life stage. Incubation capacity and terms are agreed before eggs are accepted. A fixed fee and a share-of-hatch arrangement are alternatives. If the farm accepts a hatch share, the percentage applies to successfully hatched chicks, with the allocation and rounding agreed beforehand.

Hatch success varies and no particular hatch rate is promised. The agreement must address unsuccessful hatches and collection. This explanation of biological uncertainty does not exclude liability or remedies that the law does not allow us to exclude, or relieve us of our duty to perform the agreed service with legally required care and quality.

Problems, returns and cancellation

Contact admin@oakridgefarm.online or 082 337 2457 promptly about an incorrect, damaged, unsafe or defective product or a service problem. Please keep the order reference and reasonable supporting details. We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable law. Statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, where applicable, take precedence over inconsistent wording here.

Cooling-off, return and cancellation rules depend on the transaction and product; exceptions may apply to perishables and other categories. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule in these terms, and merely using the website does not remove a statutory remedy. The applicable arrangements will be explained before an order is agreed.

Privacy and acceptable use

Only provide accurate information you are entitled to share. Do not use the service unlawfully, impersonate someone, or attempt to access another customer’s account. We may restrict misuse subject to applicable law. Personal information is handled under the privacy notice, not under a blanket permission to use it for any purpose.

The supplier and contact details appear below. Confirmed agreements and transaction records will be provided through the agreed channel; the website’s account shows submitted requests and their status. No trade-association membership, accreditation, registration number or VAT registration is claimed where it has not been confirmed.
